The Dual Roles of Among Us

Join millions of players in Among Us and start your adventure today. Find impostors or sabotage the mission and eliminate crewmates without being caught.

Impostor roles

If you become an impostor, you are tasked with sabotaging the mission and eliminating Crewmates without getting caught. This role requires a blend of cunning strategy and deception. You can perform various actions, such as faking tasks, sabotaging systems (like lights or oxygen), and using vents to move quickly between areas of the map. The key to success as an Impostor lies in blending in with the Crewmates, creating alibis, and manipulating discussions during emergency meetings.

Crewmate roles

In contrast, if you become a crewmate, you must work together to complete tasks around the map. You are tasked with identifying and voting out the Impostor. Your primary mission is to finish all assigned tasks or successfully identify the Impostor through discussion and deduction. You can report dead bodies, call emergency meetings, and gather information based on observed behaviors. Your challenge is to balance task completion with vigilance, as you must remain aware of your surroundings and the actions of your fellows in the ship. Effective communication and teamwork are essential for you to succeed.
