8 Ball Billiards

8 Ball Billiards is a game of pure precision, pushing you to sink every assigned ball before your opponent and finish with the 8 ball to secure victory.

Game Objective

According to the 8 Ball Billiards rules, each game will have two players participating on the same table with 15 target balls and 1 cue ball. These target balls will be divided into two groups:

  • Plain balls (numbered from 1 to 7)
  • Striped balls (numbered from 9 to 15)

After the opening shot, whoever puts the ball into the hole first will have the right to choose which group of balls to play throughout the game. Your task when playing is to put all the balls in your group into the hole to score points.

Smooth Ball Group in 8 Ball Billiards

When all the balls in the selected group have been put into the hole, you will switch to hitting the black number 8 ball to decide who wins. According to the rules of the game, if the number 8 ball is put into the hole before all the target balls are put into the hole, the remaining person will win.

How to play 8 Ball Billiards?

When it's your turn, you will control the stick to make shots. The controls are very easy and simple, just like when you play 8 Ball Pool. Just click, drag, adjust the shooting angle to hit the target you are aiming at. Once you have finished aligning, just release your hand and the white ball will automatically move with the force you have calculated before. Remember, shoot all your target balls before shooting the 8 ball to avoid breaking the rules and losing.

What are the cases that will break the rules when playing 8 Ball Billiards?

During the game, if one of the two players makes a foul shot, that turn will be lost and transferred to the opponent. Below are some common holes that violate the rules when playing, including:

  • Missing or not touching the target ball
  • Putting the cue ball or 8 ball into the wrong pocket.
  • Do not call a hole before hitting the 8 ball.
  • The cue ball is pocketed (a “scratch” foul).
  • No ball touches the rail or is pocketed after the shot.
